The Wine Loft - Landmark bar/lounge

Description

The initial Wine Loft conceptual strategy came to Jason and Melissa Doyle while on a visit to the West Coast Wine Country on an anniversary weekend. The couple had recently purchased the popular Mexican Restaurant Vaqueros in uptown New Orleans with the hope that as the economy improved, the strength of the concept and market niche would provide for some solid growth opportunity. During the regime of the previous owner, the weekly revenues had fallen 60%, and Jason knew that with proper marketing and execution, the concept could be revived. Thirteen months later the business had done just that, and Jason sold the business to pursue opportunities in the prosperous Warehouse and City Business District of New Orleans.

The coupled settled on a perfect location surrounded by great restaurants, large hotels, and a sophisticated residential community. The Wine Loft was born out of Jason's desire to create a business that was recession proof and complimented by a sophisticated interior ambience. Along with a well trained staff, they filled a niche of creating a comfortable, relaxed environment, where WINE would be used as a conduit to create a unique social experience.

The Wine Loft opened at the end of 2002 to a highly anticipated audience. The business filled its niche and further refined to offer wine education courses, various promotions focused on turning higher margined inventory, afternoon happy hours, and monthly social events sponsored by different wineries.
